Summary
LBC has no accounts, no servers of its own, and no analytics or tracking.
We do not collect your personal data.
Your Photos and Videos
Photos and videos you capture or import are stored on your device, in the app’s gallery. If you choose to save a copy to your Photos library or share a file, that copy goes where you send it.
Permissions
- Camera and microphone: to capture photos and videos in the app.
- Photos: LBC asks to add to your library only when you choose to save something there. When you import, you choose items with the system photo picker, and LBC sees only the items you select.
- Notifications and alarms: only if you set an alarm or reminder for something you saved.
HipHop Transfers
When you start a HipHop transfer, the files you choose are sent directly to another device on the same WiFi network. They do not pass through any server. Transfers are not encrypted, so use a network you trust.
Private Gallery
If you use Private Gallery, your PIN is stored only on your device, as a salted hash in the iOS Keychain. We never see it.
Purchases and Updates
Purchases are handled by the App Store. When you tap Check for updates, the app asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service which version is current; this request includes the app’s identifier and is handled under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details or Apple ID.
Your Data
Deleting the app deletes the data it stores. Because everything is stored on your device, we cannot guarantee that recordings will be saved if the app crashes, the battery runs out, or the app is force quit.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
